Get More Blog Traffic With SEO

by , under Maine SEO

It’s the search websites that finally bring your website to the notice of the possible customers by generating blog traffic. Therefore it’s miles better to know how these search websites essentially work and how they present info to the buyer initiating a search.

There are essentially 2 types of search engines. The first is by bots called crawlers or spiders.

Search websites use spiders to index sites. When you submit your site pages to a search website by completing their mandatory submission page, the search website spider will index your entire site. A spider is an automatic program that’s run by the search website system. Spider visits a website, read the content on the actual site, the site’s Meta tags and also follow the links that the site connects. The spider then returns all that info back to a central depository, where the data is indexed. It’ll visit each link you have on your website and index those sites as well . Some spiders will only index a certain number of pages on your site, so dont create a site with 5 hundred pages!

The spider will occasionally return to the sites to check for any info that’s changed. The frequency with which this happens is set by the moderators of the search website.

A spider is similar to a book where it contains the table of contents, the content and the links and references for all the websites it finds during its search, and it may index up to a million pages a day.

Example : Excite, Lycos, AltaVista, Bing and Google.

When you ask a search website to locate info, it is really searching through the index which it has made and not basically searching the Web. Different search websites produce different rankings because not every search website uses the same algorithm to search through the indices.

One of the things that a search website algorithm scans for is the frequency and situation of keywords on an internet page, but it could also sense artificial keyword stuffing or spamdexing. Then the algorithms research the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By checking how pages link to each other, an engine can both figure out what a page is about, if the keywords of the linked pages are like the keywords on the first page.

You want your blog to be search website friendly. That’s's always the 1st and the easiest way to get blog traffic.
